Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant is part of the Finance team who provide all finance related services to the Company’s customers, suppliers and all other departments within the organisation. The position is varied and covers all aspects of accounting processes.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recording of Company’s receipts and payments
  • Reconciliation of Company bank accounts
  • Distribution of monthly statements and debtor letters to customers
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Recording of supplier invoices and credits, ensuring they agree with purchase orders.
  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you may be required to perform other tasks in line with business needs

MAIN ATTRIBUTES AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles
  • Preferred knowledge of SAGE accounting software, although training could be provided to the right candidate.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
