Competition this week has been tough in both the Automotive Technology and Heavy Vehicle Engineering sections, of the 2017 World Skills UK event at the NEC Birmingham.

New Road Force Diagnostic Task proving to be a challenge!

As sponsors Pro-Align, were pleased to deliver and support both the Four-wheel alignment task, with the Hunter Elite TD and the brand new Road Force Balance and Match Mounting task. The diagnostic capability of Hunter’s Road Force Touch balancer and Match mounting operations of the TC Line tyre changers in the Automotive technician competition, was truly testing all competitors. However, a valuable skill, when it comes to preventing vibration comebacks.

In the Heavy Vehicle Technician competition the Hunter HGV Aligner offered Apprentices a great insight into the world of commercial alignment, with Hunters simultaneous three-axle measurement and the use of the Hunter truck pusher for roiling compensation, delivering alignment reading instantly.

Crucial technician knowledge for a promising career

We are delighted to support Apprentices, further their education and help deliver knowledge and skills needed in the 21st Century automotive or commercial vehicle workshops. With this knowledge, they can advance their careers, assist the workshops they work in to deliver a higher standard of service and deliver a better level of customer care to their customers.
